Our Position on Refunds

MyOgaTutor is an AI-powered service that incurs real costs the moment you begin using it. Every question you ask is processed in real time using paid AI infrastructure. For this reason, all subscription payments are non-refundable once the service has been accessed.

We believe this is fair and transparent. By subscribing, you are paying for immediate access to a live service — not a physical product you can return.

Free Plan

The Free Plan is available at no cost and does not involve any payments. No refunds are applicable.

Pro and Unlimited Plans — No Refund Policy

Once a payment has been made and your account has been activated, no refunds will be issued regardless of:

  • How many questions you have or have not asked
  • Whether you changed your mind after subscribing
  • Whether you found the service did not meet your expectations
  • Temporary internet connectivity issues on your end

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page. When you cancel:

  • Your subscription will not auto-renew
  • You will retain full access to your plan until your current billing period ends
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused days remaining in your billing period
  • No cancellation fees are charged

After your subscription expires, your account will automatically move to the Free plan (5 questions per day).

Exceptions — When a Refund May Be Considered

Refunds will only be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • You were charged twice for the same subscription period due to a payment system error
  • You were charged after successfully cancelling your subscription
  • MyOgaTutor was completely inaccessible due to a technical fault on our part for more than 48 consecutive hours

In any of these cases, please contact us within 7 days of the charge with evidence and we will investigate promptly.

Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions are subject to the same no-refund policy. By choosing an annual plan, you acknowledge that you are committing to a full year of access at a discounted rate. The savings offered on annual plans reflect this commitment.

You may still cancel an annual subscription at any time to prevent future charges, but no refund will be issued for the remaining months.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits your statutory rights under Nigerian consumer protection law. The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) governs consumer rights in Nigeria. If you believe you have been treated unfairly, you may contact the FCCPC at fccpc.gov.ng.
